Oh lord....

Ok, I'll put together a full review tomorrow, but here's some lowdown.


Graphics....

+ very detailed enviroments.
+ nice track design/ layout.
- only 30fps (yes, I said 30. Sue me.)
- jaggies still evident
- car models don't look ground breaking
- car damage isn't as good as PGR or Rallisport

Sound

- horrible sound effects.
- custom soundtrack feature is limited...songs repeat during races


Gameplay.

- no XBL.
- MOTHER #$#$#ING RUBBERBAND AI!!!!!!!! *pulls hair out*
- Cars slow down too much after hitting a wall or AI
- AI cars are fri'ggn cheap. They cut you off every chance they get, causing you to slow down...but if you hit them, they seem to gain speed.
- /+ Extremely arcady feel
- 30fps gameplay. Not as smooth as it could have been
+ Lots of tracks, and a very deep story mode = lots of hours of gameplay.
+ good selection of cars (must be unlocked first)


- game cost me over $90 canadian.

games cost around 69.99 to 80.00 then add the 15% sales taxes on that and you hit 90 big ones. It hard living in canada.

well thats just a bit insane to pay imho....

Rubberband AI is alright in the beginning, but as you get further into the game, it's gets to be crap. Here's the thing....

There are some tracks that last up to 4 mins long X 2 laps. (or more) You spend all that time racing a perfect race, just to have the damn cheap AI rubberband its way to a victory on the very last turn. And because it's rubberband, the whole pack will blow right by you. You'll then have to spend another 10 mins trying to beat that same track again.

WTH were these people thinking when they added this crap?
Gameplay would have gotten a 9/10 easily. But with rubberband AI, I can't give it anything higher than 7. It's too annoying.


EdIt Yeah, games cost too much in Canada. I had to drive half an hour to get this game too. The EB near my house didn't recieve theirs yet.
