It was a good thread Adam, please don't hate me for copying. This is a thread to help us know more about your art background...
1. When did you really take art seriously?
When I won artist of the month 2 months in a row. Grade 8. Up to this point, art meant absolutely nothing to me.
2. Your favorite artist.
H. R Giger. Amazing.
3. Your favorite artwork and style.
Favorite style is photo-realism, which is weird cause it goes against my beliefs. Favorite artwork...
4. Is art a hobby or a future career?
Hmmm...hobby, I guess.
5. What does art mean to you?
To me, art is creation. Creating an image in the sand using a stick is art.
6. Education. Did you go to art school?
Straight out of high school, I applied to classical animation but wasn't good enough to make it in so I went for Illustration instead. Dropped out half a year later, for personal reasons, then went to school for Computer Animation. Graduated that same year.
7. Your strengths, your weakness?
My creativity and ablity to adapt to every style. Graphic design, classical, animation...heck, I can even create clay models.
Having to re do an image. I get bored having to create the same image twice....like, if I make a mistake or something like that
8. Would you spend millions on a painting you like?
Hell no, even if I had the money.
9. Favorite art tool.
Ballpoint pen
10. What elements make up a good artist? What makes YOU a good artist?
Creativity...technical skills are good to have, but not necessary.
