Pop-Up Advertising should be illegal

(sorry I'm in complaining mood now. Probably because my vacation is over :sick: )

I mean really why should we have to put up with this crap? To me Pop-ups aren't much different then a virus because they interfere computer with the operation of your computer. We have greedy psycho trial lawyers going after cigarette companies and McDonalds fer crying outloud. We should sick the lawyer creeps on these pop-up ad and spammer people.

As I see it the one main obstacle in the way is the international nature of the internet but we should be able to go after most of these people.

(and yes I know there are pop up killers but I'm not allowed to install software on my computer at work)
 
I mainly have problems with the pop ups advertising either one of three things:
1) Hidden cameras
2) Classmates.com
3) Penis enlargers

having someone walk by your comp screen when a penis enlarger ad pops up ...not pretty.
 
Unwanted solicitation in ANY form should be illegal, that includes: Junk snail mail, flyers on your car/front door, Spam, pop-ups, door to door salesmen, and their counterparts: door to door religious fanatics!!!

LOL, that last one is funny. Do they hand out t-shirts that say "Jesus saves" or anything good?
 
They hand out lil New Testament books and try to intrude into your house/home with an inquisition into your religious beliefs. Those ppl should be beated with a shovel!
 
I can live with Banners ads as long as they don't generate sounds. A site using advertizing to pay expenses is reasonable....to a point. As I said though anything that interfers with you using your computer should qualify as being a Virus.

I took the book to shut them up and they left, then 2 days later they were back and wanted money for the book so I just gave it back to them and told them to piss off. Next time they come to my door I'm going to tell them to wait right there, then I will get on the phone with the cops.


Ice Knight, you live in the sticks don't you. Thats probably why you havent seen them, they think you stick livin satan worshipers arn't worth the time.
