Yeah the game looks nice, it depends on the length of the game that makes up my mind on if I buy it or just rent it.

True. I wonder if they'll surprise us and add some sort of Xbox Live functionality. Like they did with Unreal 2: The Awakening.

I played the SP of Unreal 2: The Awakening and thought it was HORRID!


I doubt they will have anything Live with Doom 3, but I know from playing the Alpha that it is a damn nice looking and scary game and would be just fine with only single player as long is it is lengthy enough.

It's a good thing Xbox can do bumpmapping. Otherwise, this game wouldn't have much of a chance of matching the PC version. Bumpmapping seems to be used heavily in this game.

DOOM III makes my crotch lose control! I have fond memories of playing the first when I was but a wee impressionable lad and suddenly felt a strange satisfaction with killing things on a pc monitor.

I don't like fighitng the undead/demons. It's corny and contrived. Look ma I'm killing demons, it's not a bad game afterall! Fuck that! Let me kill haitians and I'm happy! I'd rather kill another nation/race of people or beings then something totally absurd. I want what I'm killing to be as real as possible!
