I love Boobies!
My opinion of the PS2 has skyrocketed!
I've had a really low opinion of the PS2 for a good while now due to several factors:
1. The shunning of the Dreamcast by the masses due to the Sony hype machine
2. Crappy library for the most part
3. Lack of HDD & Modem out the box
4. Strong affinity for the Xbox
But ever since the new year started I've looked at videogames across all platforms with more of a open mind and have come to realize that the PS2 has alot of really great games. Thus knocking factors 2 & 4 out of the equation.
I've found myself now buying more PS2 games than Xbox games! Considering I bought a total of 5 PS2 games, and returned one of them, vs. 18 Xbox games in 2002, that says alot about how my opinion has changed.
I've boughten 2 Xbox games this new year, and returned one, vs. buying 4 PS2 games.
On top of that I find myself perusing what games came out in '02 for the PS2 that I missed and I'm very pleased at what I see with the likes of Ico, Mark of Kri, Gungrave, Shinobi, Contra, Jax & Daxter, Rachet & Clank, Onimusha 2, Sly Cooper, Virtua Fighter 4, Wild Arms 3, Maximo and a bunch more (Suikoden 3, Rygar, Kingdom Hearts, etc.)!
and with all the cool PS2 games that are coming, or have come out this year: Auto Modelista, Xenosaga, Dark Cloud 2, DMC 2, Zone of Enders 2, Guilty Gear X2, FFX-2, Star Ocean 3, Unlimited Saga, etc. I'm very happy to be giving the PS2 it's due.
This year, each console has to work hard to dominate my purchases because unlike last year I've removed the bias from my eyes!
