Doom III or Halo 2? (Graphics Debate)

Now I know they have said Doom III is coming to the Xbox but until you actually see it running on the Xbox you will have to settle for PC screens of it.

I would like to know which game you think will look better, DOOM III (PC) or Halo 2 (Xbox). Think of it as if DOOM III was running on the average gamers PC.

I have seen Doom III in action and can safely say that it is one of the most impressive looking games I have ever seen, of course it only ran at a staggering 10 frames per second on my PC, but they were a great looking 10 frames per second.

Feel free to post your own comparison screens.

This is ment to be in the console debate forum, but since I cannot post images there for some stupid reason. It is now here.

I would say Doom has better graphics..
But Halo 2 has more realistic touches such as reflection.... and light..

One thing that people have to remember is that Master Chief is not even in the game....only cut scenes. He can look as good as he wants, but the player won't actually see him...just his weapons and hands. So bungie and fans can argue as much as the like about how awsome he looks.

Doom 3's enemies and eviroments are unblieveable. We have yet to see any emeimes in Halo 2...or even actual gameplay.
And as it stands, if Xbox can run Doom 3 at 60fps, I'll run out and punch an old lady in the spine.

I would punch myself in the spine if I seen that.

What are you talking about Finch? You see Master Chief everytime you drive a vehicle, multiplay (co-op/verses), look in the water, etc. which happens quite often.

I'll do that anyways...
But anyway you play as master chief in Halo..

my friend's*rage not sure if u remeber but he posted a couple times* rig ran doom 3 at 60-70fps. it was sweet ;)

They both look amazing, and are easy on the eyes thanx to those ultra sharp textures I hate (with a passion) blury textures.
They look about equal to me, it will just come down to frame rate, animation etc. I wish I could get my hands on the leaked demo or whatever it is ppl have been playing. Feel free to pm a link to me ;)

umm I hope halo, but pc's can usually push better graphics than consoles.

This was the first thread I made over at XBA. :D Only I asked which would be better overall.

Doom2 definetely looks better NOW, but I think I'll wait until more is released on Halo2. Considering the graphical power of the newest PC (powered by graphical technology that towers over the Xbox's puny GeForce 3.2, or whatever) Doom 3 should unconditionally look better.

Doom3 manages to sport both high polygon counts, the sleek bump making, and all the dynamic lighting effects. I'd much rather pull for Halo2, but the Xbox is gnomed in comparison to Doom3's capabilities.
